Three-Phase AC Permanent Magnet Servo Motor

With significantly higher torque in the same motor size, OEMs can achieve substantial performance improvements without changing the motor mounting or requiring additional space in the machine. Designers who need to reduce the size of their machine benefit from the ability to achieve the same power and torque density with the AKM2G in a smaller form factor. A comprehensive selection of feedback solutions is available for individual application and performance requirements, including options that support functional safety. Shaft, mounting and connector options are available. Options for holding brakes and temperature sensors are available. The available low-voltage models bring the benefits of AKM2G to portable, mobile and battery-powered applications, where higher efficiency enables a more compact motor with lower energy requirements.

A commutation encoder is available as a standard option for low-voltage motors

Speedtec, standard for single-cable or two-cable versions
ytec, dual connector with single connection at the motor for frame size 2 motors
System cable options for use with Kollmorgen AKD2G servo drives and other servo drives of the AKD family
Single-cable version with SFD3 / HIPERFACE DSL / EnDat 2.2
Two-cable version for resolver, including motors with ytec connector and commutation encoder
IP54 as standard; IP65 with optional shaft seal. Additional protection ratings are available as part of co-engineering solutions
International standard mounting with choice of smooth shaft or closed keyway

Mechanical 24 VDC holding brake option
