Custom Motors

With tailored customization, drive specialist MACCON precisely adapts its solutions to individual customer requirements.

MACCON – Motors made to measure!

We receive many inquiries for electric motors. The majority of these requirements can be met with existing designs – either from MACCON or from our partners.

If required, these designs can be adapted to specific requirements with minimal effort, for example by modifying the winding or adapting mechanical interfaces.

If none of these options is suitable, we develop an optimized custom solution. Typical reasons for this approach include special requirements regarding:

  • Mechanical interfaces and dimensions
  • Inner rotor diameter
  • Torque-speed characteristics
  • Power or torque density
  • Robustness for challenging environmental conditions
  • Second-source requirements, including non-ITAR options
  • System costs

MACCON develops and supplies high-performance electric motors as well as custom electromagnetic designs.

Typical designs include three-phase, multi-pole inner-rotor PM BLDC motors with a brushless architecture, optimized for precise control and high reliability.

Outer-rotor variants and alternative motor technologies are also available.
