Argus Servo Controller Module

The Argus product line was developed to set new standards in performance, connectivity and flexibility. The Argus GPM provides exactly these new standards in performance, connectivity and flexibility. It operates as a CAN node using the CANopen protocol according to DSP-402 for motion-control devices. Users benefit from a wide range of supported operating modes, including Profile Position, Velocity and Torque, Interpolated Position Mode, PVT, and Homing, as well as support for various encoder types. In addition, the Argus GPM offers both isolated and high-speed non-isolated I/Os and ensures maximum reliability in safety-critical applications through redundant power-stage inputs.

Accelnet-PLUS Micro Module EtherCAT/ CANopen (AEV/APV)

With its compact design and comprehensive feature set, including Safe Torque Off, STO, and a dual interface for absolute encoders, the AEV/APV Series delivers high performance in the smallest space. It provides up to 50 A peak current at 90 VDC and 20 A peak current at 180 VDC. The new EZ Board option, AEZ/APZ, enables direct mounting on device surfaces and is therefore ideal for integration into OEM applications. AEV/APV sets new benchmarks in performance, connectivity and flexibility. CANopen application protocol communication over EtherCAT, CoE, provides a widely used and cost-effective industrial bus. A wide range of absolute encoders is supported. Safe Torque Off, STO, eliminates the need for external contactors and wiring, reducing system costs and complexity. Redundant STO shutdown inputs can be used for safety-critical applications.

Accelnet-PLUS Module EtherCAT / CANopen (AEM/APM)

Accelnet-PLUS AEM/APM is a powerful DC-powered servo controller for position, velocity and torque control of brushless and brushed motors via EtherCAT / CANopen, an Ethernet-based fieldbus. By using modern FPGA technology, the AEM enables a significant reduction in cost per node in multi-axis EtherCAT systems. The AEM operates as an EtherCAT slave using the CAN application layer over EtherCAT, CoE, according to the DS-402 protocol for motion-control devices. Supported operating modes include Cyclic Synchronous Position, Velocity and Torque, Profile Position, Velocity and Torque, Interpolated Position Mode, PVT, and Homing. Command sources include ±10 V analog signals for torque, velocity or position control, PWM for velocity or torque control, and step pulses for stepper motor control. Feedback can be provided via various incremental and absolute encoders. In addition, nine high-speed digital inputs are available and can be freely programmed for additional functions. Two open-drain MOSFET outputs can drive loads up to 24 VDC. An RS-232 serial port enables connection to Copley Controls CME 2™ software for commissioning, firmware updates and storing configurations in flash memory. An AuxHV input is available for keep-alive operation, allowing the controller power stage to be fully and safely shut down.

Accelnet Module CANopen (ACM)

ACM is a digital servo controller that combines CANopen network communication with 100% digital control of brushless and brushed motors in a PCB-mounted package. It offers power options up to 30 A DC continuous current and 60 A DC peak current at supply voltages from 20 VDC to 180 VDC. In addition to position control via CANopen motion commands, Accelnet can also process incremental position commands from stepper motor controllers in Pulse/Direction or CW/CCW format. A/B quadrature signals from a master encoder can also be used to drive cam tables or implement an electronic gearing function, where the controller position follows the master encoder position at a fixed ratio.

Accelnet Micro Module is a digital servo controller that combines CANopen network communication with 100% digital control of brushless and brushed motors in a PCB-mounted package. Power options include up to 15 A DC continuous current and 30 A DC peak current at supply voltages from 14 to 90 VDC. As a standalone controller, the Accelnet Micro Module can process incremental position commands from stepper motor controllers in Pulse/Direction or CU/CD format and can also use A/B quadrature signals from a master encoder. Torque or velocity control can be performed via digital PWM signals or analog ±10 V signals.

Argus Plus Module EtherCAT/ CANopen (GEM/GPM)

The Argus Plus GEM/GPM is a powerful DC-powered servo controller for position, velocity and torque control of brushless and brushed motors via EtherCAT or CANopen.

By using modern FPGA technology, the module enables reduced cost per axis in multi-axis systems. Supported operating modes include Cyclic Synchronous Position, Velocity and Torque, Profile Position, Velocity and Torque, Interpolated Position Mode, PVT, and Homing.

Command sources include ±10 V analog signals for torque, velocity or position control, PWM for velocity or torque control, and step pulses for stepper motor control.

High-speed digital inputs with programmable functions are available, as well as outputs for controlling external loads. An RS-232 serial port enables connection to Copley Controls CME 2™ software for commissioning, firmware updates and storing configurations in flash memory.
