MACCON resolvers precisely detect the rotor position of a motor. They are also suitable for aviation, space applications and extreme temperatures.

Robust and Interference-Resistant

Resolvers, also known as inductive angle sensors, convert the angular position of a rotor into two voltages. This allows the absolute position of the rotor to be clearly determined. Resolvers enable precise and reliable measurement of the rotation angle. Modern resolvers are generally brushless, with information transmitted inductively. They provide an absolute signal within one revolution and therefore do not need to be calibrated after power-up. A resolver consists of copper and iron components without sensitive electronic parts, making it extremely resistant to interference. Thanks to their robust design, resolvers are frequently used in harsh environments – for example in automation technology, mining or space applications. Resolvers are used for control and regulation tasks, for example in electric servo drives, positioning drives and machines with coupled motors. In these applications, system robustness and availability are of central importance. Our brushless resolvers operate wear-free and fail-safe – even under extreme environmental conditions, such as very high or very low temperatures.

Brushless resolvers can be used for highly precise feedback of position and rotational speed, as well as for motor pole detection. Due to their resistance to harsh environmental conditions and other advantages, they are often used together with motors in machine tools, robots and steel plants.

Smartsyn

An angle sensor that converts rotational angle into electrical signals.

Smartsyn is a brushless resolver based on an innovative winding method. This method is patented nationally and internationally and was developed through advanced design and production technology.

While conventional winding has traditionally been performed manually, this new method enables automatic machine winding – resulting in high productivity, low cost, high reliability and excellent electrical characteristics.

Singlsyn 

Singlsyn is an ultra-flat absolute angle detector with high reliability under extreme conditions such as high temperatures, vibration and shock. Singlsyn offers high reliability and can be manufactured cost-effectively, as there is no coil on the rotor. Changes in the amplitude of the output voltage are generated by the special shape of the rotor core and the variation of the gap width between the rotor and stator cores. Thanks to its ultra-flat design, Singlsyn can also be integrated into very limited installation spaces.
