Joysticks & Trackballs

Our joysticks and trackballs are designed for applications that require maximum precision, reliability and operating comfort.

They enable precise control in demanding industrial and mobile environments – from vehicle control and robotics to camera systems and computer interfaces.

Displacement joysticks are based on a modular design and combine precise control characteristics with high robustness and a comfortable operating feel. They are ideal for dynamic applications such as remote vehicle control, robotic systems or camera control.

Force-operated miniature joysticks provide maximum precision in a very compact form factor. Due to their design without moving parts, they are extremely reliable and therefore ideal for vehicle-based or airborne systems – often in combination with ergonomic control grips.

Trackballs are ideal for applications that require precise and controlled cursor positioning. They offer exceptionally smooth, free and linear movement while also providing mechanical robustness and long-term stability – ideal for operator consoles, control panels or computer interfaces in industrial environments.

Slip Rings

Slip rings are essential electromechanical components that enable the transmission of electrical power, signals or data across a rotating interface. They are used wherever continuous 360° rotation is required without interrupting the electrical connection. Thanks to their design, slip rings allow continuous power or signal transmission between stationary and rotating assemblies – for example in applications where components rotate endlessly or oscillate. They ensure reliable, low-loss transmission even at high speeds and under demanding environmental conditions. Typical areas of application range from industrial automation systems and rotary tables to surveillance systems such as radar or camera platforms, as well as medical devices, for example microscopes and swivel-arm lamps, and wind turbines.

Fiber Optic Rotary Joints

Fiber optic rotary joints enable the transmission of optical signals across rotating interfaces – with minimal signal loss and maximum reliability. They are used wherever light signals or data streams must be continuously exchanged between stationary and rotating components, for example in radar and camera systems, medical technology, communication systems or industrial equipment. The rotary joints are available in various versions. They are ideal for high-speed data transmission and for use in EMI/EMC-sensitive environments.
