ELECTRICAL ENCODERS

Technology:

  • 1Vpp output like in optical encoders (coarse and fine signal, selectable by control signal) 

 

Advantages of Electric Encoder Technology: 

  • no glass disc, no light source or receiver, therefore high reliability
  • not sensitive against temperature changes (-40 to +125°C)
  • vacuum versions possible (e.g. for space applications)
  • immune against electrical and magnetic fields 
  • not sensitive for dust, humidity, shock and vibration
  • hollow shaft wit no bearing, direct mount to customer shaft
  • „holographic“ measuring principle, therefore not sensitive to misalignment
  • much more accurate than resolver, typical accuracy better than +/-0.02°; resolution 4 to 22 Bit
  • low power
  • short, typical 10mm
  • big hollow shaft possible
  • scalable and suited for mass production
