HMER - HOLDING MAGNET WITH ELECRICAL RELEASE
Electromagnets or electrical holding magnets develop high attraction forces to flat magnetic materials. Most common versions need to be energised to develop force, like our EM series of electromagnets. The applications range from holding of ferromagnetic work pieces during machining or assembly operations, through door latching or holdback devices, safety mechanisms, to selector devices in textiles machinery.
Because the field sharply drops with the distance of the counterpart, the flatness of the surface and a very thin plating are important features. This is also true for the optional armature plates.
Currently there is no standard series for the HMER Electromagnets with electrical release; here some examples for available designs:
- HMER0040-24: holding force >200N, 24Vdc release voltage, dimensions: d= 40mm, h = 27mm
- HMER4928-12: holding force >600N, 12Vdc release voltage, dimensions: d= 49mm, h = 28mm
