XL - ANALOG STEPPER DRIVE/INDEXER

The XL stepper controller has been designed as OEM version of the well introduced PDFX-controller which has been obsoleted in the mean time. Consequent reduction to the pure stepper functionality in open loop mode and the omission of an internal power supply makes the XL a compact and cost effective but powerful and reliable stepper drive.  

The XL stepper drive is powered from 24 / 48 to 80Vdc and comes with two power levels at 2.5 and 5.0 amps. An additional logic supply with 24Vdc realizes the keep-alive functionality. The step resolution can be selected from 200 to 4,000 steps per rev. This allows for smooth operation in all speed ranges.

The XL stepper drive offers the option to add an optional indexer to the powerful mini stepper drive. The EASY-V software minimizes the effort for programming even for complex applications. The possibility to programm the start and stop speed reduces the cycle time especially for short moves. The XL indexer supports sequential and event triggered modes and up to 8 sequences can pe programmed and stored in the drive and then called up by single commands. 

The connection to the PC is made via serial connection RS232 (9600 Baud); an optional CAN bus interface (CANopen) is available.

The 24V level of the 8 programmable in and outputs (including one high speed input for trigger) leads to high immunity to noise and compatibility with almost any PLC system in the market.

Additional accessories are a switch-mode power supply (for low power) or a power supply inverter with two transformers for multi axis systems.
