LAR - LINEAR-ROTARY ACTUATORS

The LAR range of multi patented voice coil actuators are based on the design of the LAL linear voice coil actuators have been designed with the most demanding & arduous of automation tasks in mind. The LAR series adds the option of a rotary movement of the shaft to the LAL versions. The motors used for the rotary movement can be direct drive motors or gear motors; the encoder resolution ranges from 4,864  to 20,000 counts per revolution depending on model.

The LAR rotary/linear actuator units find their applications in pick & place systems, parts feeders & electronic assembly machines, test and measuring applications along with many, many others where the need for speed, accuracy, precision & repeatability is paramount and where the linear movement needs the addition of a rotary movement. The option to measure force by means of measuring current and the possibility to offer linear/rotary actuators makes the LAR rotary/linear actuators the ideal choice for applications in test and measuring applications in quality inspection e.g. in automotive production.

  • no cogging
  • stroke 5 / 10 / 15 / 25 / 50 / 100mm (depending on model)
  • peak force up to 500N
  • high dynamic response, low moving mass
  • high overload capacity (max. ED 40% at peak force)
  • limit- and home switches integrated
  • encoder resolution 5 / 1 / 0.5µm
  • repeatability +/-2 counts
  • various shaft configurations

Options for linear/rotary actuators:

  • vacuum
  • return spring (for vertical applications, other wise the shaft could fall down in case of power loss and lead to damages inside the machine or parts)
  • custom shafts
  • enhanced force capabilities by 48V coil or double coil
  • enhanced accuracy of force measurement by usage of "low friction" linear guide
  • enhanced life by extra wide linear guide
