TOOTHBELT LINEAR AXIS

The toothbelt - a well known technology

Our timing belt linear handling axis consists of an extruded aluminum profile and the backlash-free carriage which is connected to a toothed belt as the driving mechanism. In LCB Axis the guiding is provided as a sliding contact, in the HPLA series the carriage is guided by some plastic rollers. The various types of axis can easily be interconnected so that even complete handling systems can be put together easily. All belt drive axis show very good dynamic response and don't need a lot of maintenance.  We offer seven sizes ranging from 40 x 40mm to 180 x 180mm profile. Belt driven linear axis are used in modern and cost-effective machine and system designs:

  • handling: e.g. palettizing, material feed and removal
  • textile machine construction: e.g. cross-, length cutting and stacking, quilting, seaming
  • process engineering: e.g. varnishing, coating, gluing, engraving
  • stock technology: e.g. commissioning, stock-keeping
  • construction technology: e.g. encasing, inserting steel reinforcements into concrete
  • clean room technology: e.g. wafer transport, wafer coating
  • machine tool manufacturing: e.g. charging of the work pieces, changing the tools
  • testing technology: e.g. guiding of ultrasonic sensors
We offer mainly two versions:
  • HPLA: version with plastic rollers; load capacity up to 1,600kg and strokes up to 20m at up to 5m/sec.
  • LCB: compact and low-cost linear stage with sliding bearing; load capacity up to 38kg and strokes up to 5.5m at up to 8m/sec.
