ACTUATORS
Actuators in a sense are the mechanical subdivision of mechatronics. For any positioning application in the industry and in machines the actuator provides the idea for the solution - whether it is a catalogue product or a custom designed actuator with special performance and geometry. The actuator and the suitable electronics together are the mechatronic solution for your application, delivering the required performance and integrated into a predefined mechanical environment. In the sense of actuators we differentiate the solution by their mechanical concept:
- Linear motor axis: For demanding applications requiring high performance regarding dynamics and accuracy; based on direct drive technology
- Tooth belt axis: The classical solution for linear servo applications for long strokes in industrial applications
- Linear actuators: Based on linear motor technology: a new concept for dynamic applications, designed to replace pneumatic actuators with the advantage of programmable positioning capabilities
- Lead screw actuators and lead screw tables: The classical solutions for linear servo applications for limited strokes in industrial applications - often as replacement for pneumatic systems
- Stepper motor lead screw actuators: The cost-effective solution for simple positioning applications in open loop configuration at low forces - also for mass market applications
- Voice Coil Actuators: The classical usage of the Lorentz force principle (force proportional to current, bidirectional, linear or rotary)
- Linear Solenoids and Rotary Solenoids: As simple on/off actuators - available as rotary and linear solenoids, and also as latching solenoids and bistable solenoids
